THE METHOD
Somatic Alignment is a body-based therapeutic technique that uses the concepts of acupressure and myofascial release to release emotional & physical tension & promote healing. It combines touch, breath, visualization & gentle movement to release stress from the fascia & meridians in order to restore balance.
Stress, traumatic experiences & unresolved emotions dysregulate the nervous system, causing physiological changes in the body, particularly in the fascia and connective tissue causing pain, stiffness and can often manifest in the form of insomnia, depression, irritability, weight gain & other psychosomatic issues, impacting the quality of our life and how we show up in the world.
During the session the main focus is to create a feeling of safety from the inside out. Using touch, breath and de-armoring techniques to release pressure points that hold tension, we can allow the body to unwind and guide us towards feeling better and more empowered.
